In memory of a fellow passionate track cyclist, the Jeanné Nel Track Classic was born into an annual race which is held at the Bellville Velodrome.
“This race is so special and it’s an opportunity to honour someone that meant so much to the sport of track cycling, and to me personally. I learnt so much from Jeanné. I miss sharing the velo with him.” Says Maroesjka.
Racing kicks off at 7pm, where Charlissa, Ashleigh and Jesse will be participating in the the 500m rolling start bunch race, the Keirin, Points and Tempo Points.
Feeling the fatigue set in after a hard week of training for the upcoming races, the ladies are looking forward to tearing up the track.
Racing with the veteran men, it is expected to be exciting and fast.
Spectators are welcome and entrance is free.
